Hi Gary!

I have a particularly heartwarming story of a friend's daughter who

has been to me several times for EFT. These two incidences were

evidence of what an emotional issue can do to anyone, even a 14 year

old.

Sam is the daughter of a friend who lives just down the street. She is

a vibrant, beautiful young lady with a wonderful, fresh sense of

humour. The family moved from England last May and I immediately

connected with them and have a soft spot in my heart for the daughters

(Sam and Holly, 9).

Sam has been suffering with extreme back pain since the age of 7 and

has just recently been diagnosed with Scoliosis and mild Spinal Bifida.

This particular Saturday our phone rang, my husband answered and I

overheard him telling someone that we didn't have any pills for back

pain so I immediately questioned who it was and when I heard it was Sam

I took the phone.

She sounded terrible and I asked her what was wrong. She was in such

pain and wanted to know if we had any pills we could give her. I said

no but I could come down to do EFT on her. Her voice sounded as though

her tongue was swollen and I suspected she had already taken too many

drugs and upon questioning her she admitted to 3 extra strength pain

killers. I was so worried that she had overdosed as she is just a tiny

thing and got down there as soon as I could.

She was still in her robe as she found it difficult to get out of bed

and so I immediately tapped on the pain, which was an 8 even after the

drugs. I got her to describe it in detail and went immediately to

"even tho I have this terrible sharp pain in my back, I'm still a

really cool chick" (from past experience with her she always smiles at

that one..).

After one round she was down to a 5 and after 2 rounds it was

completely eradicated. Even I was skeptical as she moved around and

tried to find the pain. Her face lit up and she hugged me and said her

back had never felt so good. I then asked her how the drugs made her

feel and her words were "gunky". So "even tho I took those pills and

they are making me feel gunky, I need to get them out of my system so

that I can enjoy the day and hang out with my friends, because I'm

still a really cool chick". Just one round of tapping and she felt

good again. Later that day she was having a driving lesson with my

husband and the pain had not returned, she was bright and full of

smiles.

I had a feeling it would come back, though and lo and behold Monday

night her mother drove her over. She was distraught and at my request

had not taken any drugs. We immediately began tapping on the pain but

it didn't change one little bit. Her pain level was a 9 and she also

had menstrual pain at the same intensity. It went down to an 8 and

then it was worse in her back and then worse in her abdomen and so it

kept going like that. I tried to pull out of her what had happened

that day but was concerned that she may have trouble verbalizing it as

her mother was right there. I told her she could just think about it

but Sam was adamant that nothing had happened and nothing was going on.

I asked her to say "even tho there may be some emotions behind this

pain, I don't know what they could be, maybe hurt, maybe sadness, who

knows, I'm just 14 & I'm allowed to have all these feelings and I'm

still a really cool chick". The pain went down to a 3 - AH HA!

Her mother finally piped up and said "oh, come on Sam, what about that

boy Paul (not his real name)" and Sam immediately blushed - AH HA! Sam

told me that she really liked him but he didn't like her "even tho Paul

doesn't like me & I'm trying really hard......LOTS OF TEARS......I told

her to stay with it and I kept tapping on the hurt, the pain etc.. and

then she finally smiled. She also revealed that the boy that told her

that Paul didn't like her was her good friend's boyfriend but that he

liked her (ah, now I remember being 14 - and it's not easy!) and that

she felt guilty about that and so on...."even tho I have Paul and Susan

(not her real name) and Kevin (not his real name) in my back, it's not

worth carrying them around with me because it's causing me pain and

even tho they are having a party in my back I would like for them to

get out and leave me alone and I know for sure I'm a really cool

chick". She stood up and all the pain was a 0!

On her way home she told her mom how happy she was and they she didn't

know how she could ever repay me. That was enough payment for me. Her

mom also told me that she was almost brought to tears watching the

whole process. I really enjoy children as they are such a clean slate

and so receptive to the process. It's approximately 2 weeks later and

she reports that she is still pain free. Hopefully we got it but I

still have a niggling feeling that we may have to go back sometime to

when she was 7. In the meantime she's a happy camper.

Sorry this is so long but I wanted to really get the essence of how the

events unfolded. It was such a good feeling that I woke up in the

middle of the night excited that I was able to help someone that I

really have affection for to achieve so much relief.

I have recently received my EFT Fundation Library DVD's and are finding them truly interesting.

I just watched where Gary Craig helped a man overcome his fear of water. It turns out that this man could not go into a swimming pool any deeper than his waste and that was difficult. After watching the DVD you discover the reason was due to being held under water by some of his childhood friends while swimming in a river.

After several rounds of EFT "Tapping"with Gary and covering several "aspects" that this man had, he was able to sit on the bottom of the swimming pool.

I am truly excited about learning how to do EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) so I can possibly go out and help people overcome some of their problems without having to use drugs.
